Restorative Nursing Program

We seek to maximize the quality of life for our long-term care population and offer them specialized restorative services. This service is included in the daily room and board fee. The therapy team and nursing staff develop individualized treatment plans for resident care in the areas of:

  • Activities of daily living
  • Ambulation
  • Bowel and bladder training
  • Contracture management
  • Positioning and alignment
  • Range of motion
  • Rehabilitative and social dining
  • Skin integrity and wound management
  • Strengthening and restraint reduction
  • Weekly and monthly height and weight monitoring

Dietary Program

  • Provide meals to meet specific dietary and therapeutic needs, according to physician orders
  • Oral supplemental diets are available
  • Regular nutritional assessments from our registered dietitian

Here are examples of menu items -

Breakfast: Apple, orange and cranberry juices, omelets, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, pork sausage links, bacon, oatmeal, raisin bread, rolls, toast, english muffins with preserves and margarine, cinnamon swirl french toast, cold cereal.

Lunch: Spaghetti with meat sauce and vegetables, fish fillet with lemon wild rice and vegetables, quiche with asparagus and apple rings, meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, roasted chicken, baked potato with sour cream and corn, cheeseburger and veggie burgers, BBQ ribs, potato salad and coleslaw. Desserts include cupcakes, lemon pudding, chocolate éclair, fudge brownies, ice cream and blueberry muffins.

Dinner: Chef's choice soup, crackers and turkey sandwiches with all the fixings, pizza, garden salad, fruit salad and chicken caesar salads. Shrimp, egg fried rice, Asian vegetables, sweet and sour sauce, gourmet cheese and macaroni, stewed tomatoes, corn bread and fresh melon, oven baked pork sausage, scalloped potatoes and fruit salad, franks and beans, corn bread, warm apples and cinnamon, egg salad sandwich, potato chips and watermelon.
